" Are Thank You Notes on the Endangered List?"

When I grew up, I must admit that I didn’t have any choice about writing thank you notes. For my parents, thank you notes represented good manners, and was a gracious way of expressing gratitude for gifts received.

Today, however, thank you notes seem to be moving in the same direction as dinosaurs. Perhaps, this is because of technological changes in our society. Nevertheless, I guess I do believe that thank you notes are a very effective way to connect with people in today's technology filled world. For me good manners never go out of style, and not writing and not acknowledging a gift is not acceptable. What do you think?
