"Tucson Festival of Books, Weekend of March 10th"

This weekend the Tucson had its 4th annual Festival of Books on the University of Arizona Campus. This event brings together authors, publishers and the reading public in a family-friendly community event. Net proceeds of the Festival are used to promote literacy in Southern Arizona.

At the event, not only do famous and not so famous authors read, do signings and give speeches, but there is also a children's section, people in costume, a food court with food from various local Tucson restaurants and live music. A wonderful way for sure to promote literacy and reading here in Southern Arizona.

"Evening fun activities with the Grandkids"

This evening,I had the fun time of reading to Baby Iris, who now has a pop up tent in her bedroom. Of course, she insisted that grandpa be inside the tent before any reading could commence. Amazingly, I was surprised that I actually fit. Perhaps, my nutrition pointers are showing results. This was truly a wonderment as I read "Fancy Nancy" to my granddaughter's delight

As the evening went along, Piano Man and Desert Princess joined me in solving story problems, which were indeed challenging and much fun, much like solving a jig saw puzzle with clues.
